My first post in a while accompanies the arrival of my first copy of my subscription to Canadian Gardening Magazine which is incredibly exciting and will hopefully satiate my floral hunger until the spring.
An article featured in the 2013 100+ Best Gardening Ideas Special Issues discusses a new approach to roses. Instead of going with traditional pink and pretty roses, author Stephen Westcott-Gratton suggests pops of orange and yellow to mix things up. Of the few he suggested, the Morden Sunrise Rose (shown above) really caught my eye. It’s colourful, complex, and unsual, and it’s going straight to my wishlist for this year’s garden.
Summer come sooner!
